In her left hand, she proudly raises a Revolutionary War flag bearing a lone pine tree and the words “An Appeal to God.” This flag was designed by Colonel Joseph Reed in 1775 and adopted by the Continental Navy under the command of George Washington.

The reverse is blank aside from a mirrored outline of the obverse design, with no additional colorization or enhancements, consistent with all Goldback notes.
